The Executives of Belleville Minor Softball Association met recently to discuss the 2021 season and we’re happy to announce that we will be looking to restart the season this year, pending a thumbs up from our municipality and public health recommendations.
We will keep everyone updated as to registration dates and season start date. We thank you for your continued support and we can’t wait to play some ball!
The Executive of the Belleville Minor Softball Association met recently to discuss the 2020 season and what our options are moving forward in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The difficult decision was made to cancel all House League divisions and Select Teams for the 2020 season.
Belleville Minor Softball has a responsibility to help protect the health of our players, coaches, umpires, spectators, volunteers and their families. It is evident the restrictions and logistics of operating a fun, competitive and meaningful season are no longer favourable to our players and volunteers. However, the Executive will consider allowing skill sessions following guidelines and restrictions put in place by the City of Belleville, The Province, OASA and Softball Canada once we can provide something that is safe, fun and meeting all precautionary measures.
We understand that everyone will be disappointed not playing the sport we all love. We are just as disappointed. However, it is the right time to make this decision to allow for our players and families to plan other activities as restrictions begin to be lifted.
We continue to wish all good health and look forward to playing with our friends and teammates on the diamond next season.
All sponsors and paid registrants will be contacted in the coming weeks by a member of our board.
We thank you for your understanding and continued support. #playball

It’s with great sadness that all of us at Belleville Minor Softball say good bye to our leader and our friend. Debbie was the voice and the face of our organization for 30+ years. We count ourselves lucky to have been able to depend on Debbie and were able to lean on her for support and guidance for as long as we have. Debbie was the driving force behind our strong community relationships with the Big Brothers & Big Sisters, CAS, The Quinte Children’s Foundation and countless others. She ensured that every kid from every walk of life was given the chance to play softball. She taught us so much about being volunteers and the reasons why we are. We pass on our condolences to her family, we hope they can find some peace in their memories. Along with the youth of Belleville, we would like to thank them for allowing us to have so much of Debbie’s time. We are forever grateful. We will miss her but as long as kids play our game in Belleville, she will never be forgotten.
